About Us

Hi! My name is Melissa, I am the founder & owner of D’Perrotti. I don’t even know where to start! Long story short both of my parents have been in the manufacturing clothing business for over 50 years! Yes 50!! Manufacturing and retail is all I really know and love. It all started with my dad (Damian) in Brooklyn, NY. When he was about 7 years old he would sew Moo Moo gowns, then fast forward to his 20s he was & still is the best pattern maker. He has also had boutiques throughout NYC. He landed a job in Florida (Miami) as a production manager. 

My mom on the other hand born and raised in Colombia! When, my mom traveled to the States she had multiple jobs just to get by. My mom was in the manufacturing disposable medical gowns factory. She was, I can say happy with her job but her coworker told her about this other factory that manufactures clothes. This is where it gets cute!! My dad was hiring operators and my mom went to get the job and BOOM she was hired!! The rest was history!! 

My parents has had multiple stores and when I say multiple I mean open and closed, open and closed and so forth. A lot of ups and downs like everyone else but one thing I did notice was the persistence, and not giving up for years. I genuinely admire them. In 2014 I wanted to start a brand and also continue my parents legacy. Fast forward to 2014 and the year I realized I wanted to be a part of what they had. That was when I founded D’Perrotti!! I thought so much and thoroughly as to what name should I decide to go with for my business. And here is the reason as to WHY? 

The letter D for my dads middle name and Perrotti for our family name. To me that was perfect. He deserves it so much that I just had to give him the credit for it. My mom loved just as much as me! My dad said to put my name instead and I couldn’t do that. I owe it all to him and my mom. They have given me so much love and support that I owe it to actually the both of them. 

D’Perrotti was created with family, love, patience, passion & faith. We are a small business and hope to grow and become one of the best stores ever! Our mission & ultimate goal is that anyone who wears our bikinis or outfits feels confident and excited to show the world what they are wearing. D’Perrotti is all about both men and women empowerment. We love & care for everyone! We want YOU to be happy with your purchase. Also, one of the things we are extremely proud of is that we manufacture our bikinis here in The United States of America.
